I published my first program when I was nine years old — a game in BASIC for the ZX81. I have been building software ever since.
Today I work with startups that need a small team to build their MVP with high quality. Alongside that, I design and run my own products: the mobile apps and SaaS platforms listed further down this page.
I am based in Berlin, where I have been a member of Factory Berlin since 2017. Between 2016 and 2018 my teams won 5 hackathons there and in Bielefeld — in digital health, insurance and industrial AI — including the grand prize at TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin 2017. My part in those teams was the engineering: turning the idea into something that works.
Before Berlin came Portugal: a five-year degree combining management, programming applied to industry and mobile development, a professional teaching certificate, and published work on e-learning and language learning online going back to 1998.

Project: Factory Elf. A system that detects failures in industrial machinery before they happen, so the production line does not stop — and that also lets the factory order the parts it will need. The prediction is done with artificial intelligence and a lot of maths.

An Alexa solution that helps diabetics manage their blood glucose. Ask "I want to eat a slice of pizza, how much bolus do I need?" and it reads the glucose level in real time, looks up the carbohydrates and speaks the answer.

Project: WalkBuddy. An IoT digital-health competition. WalkBuddy is a device that helps visually impaired people avoid obstacles; what it records is sent to the cloud to map the problems they meet around the city. I developed the technical side of the idea.
